Ernest Victor Perryman

Ernest Victor Perryman III, Marshfield, MO, son of Ernest Victor and Margaret Anne (Nye) Perryman Jr., was born January 8, 1948 in Springfield, MO, and departed this life August 24, 2013. At the time of his passing he was 65 years of age.

Vic was a teacher’s assistant. He loved working with kids and driving the school bus. He was also proud to have been a Nursing Home Administrator. Gardening, working outdoors, and cooking were his passions. More than anything, he loved his family. They always came first and he was the best husband and father in the world. Taking care of his family was the focus of his life.

Vic was also passionate about the community of Marshfield. He was active in many school and community organizations. He was a member of the original A+ Advisory Committee and the A+ Appeals Committee. He was also an active and devoted member of Steering Committee at Marshfield High School. He served on the Advisory Committee for the FACS program in the FCCLA Advisory Board. He was also a passionate member of the Gifted Education Advisory Board for over 20 years. He volunteered much of his time and energy to the Gifted Program by driving the school bus for all their field trips, judging the Science Fair, and countless other activities.

Vic was a proud graduate of College of the Ozarks, where he earned his degree in Sociology. Some of his best stories come from his time as a fire chief on the school’s fire department. It was also in college that he met several of his best friends that lived with him on the fourth floor of his dorm. Throughout his life, these friends kept in close contact and their friendship was cherished. He was a very active participant in the theater at College of the Ozarks as well. He went on to instill his love of the arts in his daughters and would often take them to plays and musicals in the area. He was a great man whom his family loved and adored and will be tremendously missed by many.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, Mark Perryman, and Carey Perryman, one sister, Carol Perryman.

He is survived by his wife Jackie of the home, two daughters; Mandy Perryman, Marshfield, MO, Nicki Fuller and John, Tulsa, Oklahoma, one brother; Tony Perryman Columbia, MO, and a host of relatives and friends.

Services for Ernest Victor Perryman will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, MO. Burial will be in Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Marshfield Elementary School Gifted Program, care of Lori Herring.
